The Porterhouse Grill & Rooms is set on a side residential street specialising in perfectly cooked steaks, and the starters are tantalizing as well! To start we had the potted shrimp and the roasted bone marrow – both starters served with toast and mouth wateringly good. For main we had had the chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly as you would expect, accompanied by a bottle of quara malbec la salta valle de cafsyate, arg ’16 . Service was very good and attentive. They also have rooms, so it’s great if you’re on business or on a city break and fancy a stay away from the hustle and bustle of town, whilst, the centre of oxford is still very accessible by bus, taxi or foot. The Castle Quarter is 10 minutes’ walk away, while the Ashmolean, the Radcliffe Camera and the main colleges can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. A bit on the upper end price wise but definitely worth it.
